Paramount: Top Gun
We feel the need… the need for screens! Partnered with DIVE Billboards, Paramount Pictures took over spectacular billboards in NYC for the much anticipated premiere of #TopGunMaverick. This action-packed campaign included Twitter content from the cast, critic reviews, and the fan’s excitement. As well, DIVE and Twitter Arthouse collaborated on a custom video content featuring star Tom Cruise as Maverick flying through the larger-than-life billboards. Top Gun: Maverick took off with epic content and massive digital billboards.
We had a mixture of fans who had seen the new movie already giving glowing reviews, and fans who had yet to see it who were excitedly anticipating their chance! Our creative team had Tom Cruise fly through tweets, making it a thrill to watch the billboard.
Using Twitter, we targeted existing fans who quickly generate quality content to use on billboards. User generated content is reliable and genuine, which reads well to people who are unfamiliar with the film. Using a billboard to bring social buzz to Digital Out of Home (DOOH) advertises to fans from fans, and allows people to recognize the authenticity of the content. DIVE doesn’t stop there! We take the conversation back to Twitter, tagging users in photos of their own Tweets lighting up major locations like Times Square.
