Baby, it’s cold outside. Winter is no joke in NYC and Chicago with horrible road conditions, snow shoveling.. and no sunshine! Tropicana returned the sun to NYC and #chiberia with DIVE Billboards. People braving winter snow storms were welcomed with Tropicana’s bright branded orange, Twitter conversation that showed solidarity against storms, and a funny custom GIF taken from Tropicana commercials. This weather-activated campaign invited audiences to warm up and #SipYourSunshine.

On a stormy winter day, chilly Chicago and frosty NYC got a bit of brightness from Tropicana branded digital billboards. With Twitter and DIVE, Tropicana brought sunshine and tweets from locals on the weather. DIVE provided billboards targeted at commuters and strategic planning around inclement weather.
The creative team also crafted a unique gif from Tropicana commercial footage. The juxtaposition between the snow pouring down and the inviting orange of the billboard makes you crave a taste of tropicana to bring warm summer feelings to mind. The campaign was a huge hit online as frustrated residents of New York and Chicago found the call to action from Tropicana, giving them a chance to vent about the cold and a chance to become #BillboardFamous!
